I done this today with mine!! They loved it and so did I!! Mess free and great results!! I used a plastic wallet instead of cling film, and worked v well!! Will definitely be doing this activity again and will maybe even use gel, glitter, sequins etc!! Love this forum for the great ideas!!

I asked this on a different thread, and can now tell you that I taped paper to the table. Splatted paint. Spread clingfilm out over the top and taped that down too, and then sat back and watched! Kids loved it and want to do more tomorrow but with pink and purple paint!

One but had too much paint and is still drying, but generally lifting the film off didn't impact on the creation at all.

Kez thats a great idea. I did it with cling film with the after school kids. My 17month old was sleeping and the 18month old mindee had gone home. I planned to try it out with the little ones tomoro. Might have to try it your way with the sleeves instead. Like you said they will want to pick it up and take the cling film off otherwise!

So you put paint on a plastic mat, cover with clingfilm, let the children use fingers to move paint around and then what? Do you take cling film off and use a piece of paper to take a print of the paint on the mat? I do something similar for first finger painting experience so they don't rip the paper, I take a print of the paint squiggles on the mat when they finish.

No, I put the paint onto a sheet of paper, but your way would be cool too!

Thanks! I plan to do this same idea using glitter, gel, sequins etc as one of mine doesn't really like the feel of that sort of thing but can still be included! Yes they're ikea high chairs! Totally wipeable, and can stack if need be!!

So this is the finished product!! Their mum loved them. I think they loved them as much as the kids loved doing them! And it's all their own work. ( except the cutting out of course!!)
