    Default Self Employed Assistent

    Hi

I am hoping to get some advice from people who have self employed assistants.

Has anyone ever come up against any difficulty with this? After reading this I am worried that it's a bit questionable. https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/wo...of-employment/ I believe it's very common though so i'm really hoping I'll still be all above bored when I do it.

I am also REALLY struggling to find a decent template for a contract/agreement of work and have no idea where to start with putting one together myself. Can anyone help with this?

Lastly, can I ask what people have on file for assistents. I need a copy of their DBS but what else should I get/file?

    Thank you.

    A

I would recommend you contact your local CAB...it is likely they will suggest you contact HMRC.
Self employed people also call themselves Freelance at times.
That means they can work wherever they find work and if so not available when you need them.
They deal with their tax and NI so you may need to pay them gross pay...they are usually not entitled to sick or holiday pay.
If you have an accountant they would advise you on this too depending on your employer status

Get expert advice so that you can do the right thing and draw up an agreement/contract that is suitable to you both.
