    Default Is it ok???

Is it ok to write all my policies and procedures and then have one permission page with the policies and procedures listed and a declaration that they have all been read and agreed to? At first I included a slip at the bottom of each page but that seemed a bit long winded!

Parents will thank you for it. None of us want to be signing dozens of bits of paper. x

    Very true!

I do one list & get it signed. So much easier for everyone.

I don't even print my policies off for the parents. I give them a link to my website (which I don't advertise - it's just there for parents). I have my own dated copies in a file, so that I just pop an updated one into the correct slot in my folder when I make changes.

The website policies are all dated.

I then have my latest policy list (which is the web-page index) as an attachment in my Contract, and get the parents to sign to say that they have read and understood the policies.

I hope this is enough. Correct me if I've been doing it wrong, but I just hate the waste of paper I'd generate otherwise!

I have an up to date copy of all policies and procedures in a file that I keep to show Ofsted, prospective parents etc. I then email a copy to new parents or when I update them everyone gets a new copy. There is then one sheet that says the parent's have received, read and agreed with all the policies etc. They sign and return it to me and it goes in the child's file. They can print it all out if they want to. It saves me printing endless copies and they can't lose an email.

    Thanks so much.
I'm building a website at the moment and I'm intending to email parents as I already seem to have loads of paperwork and I'm not started yet! I was hoping parents would print it off and sign too.... is that too cheeky?!

Try the one form (Summary) approach for your policies. I do most other stuff as paper-based: so permissions (again, I managed to get these onto one page - it's like a big table with tickboxes for permissions and a signature bit at the bottom); contract etc. all are paper-based.

    All the best,

    L

I email all my policies to parents for them to read at home and email a list of those policies and ask parents to print it and sign it.

I was intending to have a declaration at the end of all of my policies and procedures for parents to sign saying that they agree to the policies. Ofsted saw this at my registration visit and seemed happy with it. For convenience I will probably email them to them beforehand, and then they can come and sign on my paper copy when they are filling out their contracts and all about me.
