Default Can Someone Please Help With This?

I work at night Tue and Wed 6pm-11pm, I watch a 9month old Mon, Wed, and Thursday, the problem is the mum has got a new job and now requires me Tues, but due to nature of hubby's job he can't gaurantee to there to pick baby up in time for me leaving for my work, we have racked our brains for answers, my work won't change my time, tonight she ask if my hubby could watch her for the final 40 mins because she doesn't want to leave me and is very happy with my service, my hubby is more than happy to help, but where to we stand, can he/ is he allowed?

    Help mush appreciated.

Unless your DH registers as your assistant and undertakes his first aid training - in which case he could have the child for the last 40mins - the only way round it that I can think of if is your DH babysits for the child. Is that an option - could your DH take the child back to its own home and babysit?

    2 options

    1. Get Hubby registered as an assistant - if he has a current CRB won't take too long

    2. Take child off your books when you leave and hubby babysits.

Number 2 is not the ideal scenario but might do for a temporary fix

He would have to have first aid to be left in sole charge of the child

Other than that you nee the EY2 form (hope thats the right one) and send it off to ofsted. You also need the parents permission to leave them
When someone tells you nothing is impossible, tell them to go slam a revolving door

As Dh will already be on Ofsteds records as a member of the family and should have a CRB in place - you can phone Ofsted to get him registered as an assitant.

My DH was listed on my records within 1 min of me asking!

However if DH does not have first aid you can not leave him with child - but could get it in writing from parent that until he does get first aid he will be babysitting - child would not be on your books - contract should be changed to reflect new hours (less bit DH babysitting) and parent needs to know that DH not under Ofsted and will have no insurance cover while mindees babysitter.

Not ideal but would buy you some time while DH get first aid in place.
