    Question Funding

I have seen on here a while ago a thread all about funding. I can not find it anymore! I searched and searched. Maybe I am just going bonkers.

I know I am not entitled to the funding that new childminders get, because there a to many childminders close to me.
But... I really need a new PC just for my work and for the children to use, as the one I use at the moment is my husbands work laptop.
I don't earn enough to buy one. And financially we just can't fork out the money for one. I really struggle to get any work paper work done as this stupid machine is overloaded already and crushes on me.
Where and how can I ask for funding for a new laptop?? And can I do this?
I am sure I have read on here somewhere that people asked for funding for toys and pc's and if I am not mistaken for a conservatory! (Could also ask for heating to be put into my conservatory, as the people who had the house before us thought it would be fun to have a floating floor rather then a solid floor, which means it gets to cold in there in the winter to use it!)

Hope someone can help me out with this!
    Thank you

You need to call your local Surestart as they provide the funding.

    Good luck with it.

Just a thought but why not put an advert up in local shops asking if anyone has one they don't want that they might give free to a good home or sell off cheap. I know our pre school did this and had lots of offeres as some people always want the latest thing

Thank you all so much for your help.
I will ask around for a cheap PC and will see if my insurance would pay for the conservatory flooring!!!

There is a website called freecycle. People put things on this website that they want to get rid of and you can also request things on it. No money is exchanged (hence the name).
    Good Luck!
