Default Start pack / NCMA member q?

    Hi all

I am wondering when I should apply to be a NCMA member and when I should request my pack for starting up? I have had CRB checks back and they also have my health check back, so just waiting for them to send me my reg cert - should I wait for this first

The only thing I would check is the insurance.

If you are getting the full lot including insurance, theres not really much point until you have your first children starting or it will just be running & not really being used. Does this make sense? Hope so!

you can get the membership and starter pack without the insurance and then when you get children just ring up and ask for the insurance aswell.

I was told you have to send a copy of your certificate to them before they will send the pack out.Maybe that's just in my area though.I'm in Bedfordshire. If anyone know's different please let me know

My local early years provide ours. We get sent a form once we are registered, they then get ncma to issue it and the bill goes direct to them. Think every area does it different though so best to call your local team, as rascal said, they are usually quite helpful. They got me out a cover note for my ins within a couple of days too so I didnt have to wait for that.

For the public liability insurance - the most they can forward date it is 6 weeks, so i would think about it. Saying that its only £22.50 ish a year!
