Policies - what have you got?
I'm just updating my policies and want to check which ones are compulsory, which ones are recommended and which ones are useful.
I'm trying to condense as many as possible, but don't want to make any of them so long that parents get fed up of reading! Do you give copies of all of your policies to parents, or just the compulsory/relevant ones and tell them which other ones you have?

Safegaurding - there should be a model one on your LSCB website...
Complaints - there is a sample one in files at the top of the group...
Those were the ones our inspector wanted to see last week.
We explained we don't have a lot of policies because they are not read - behaviour, medication, health and safety etc - but we do have little one page information sheets for parents and we give those out when parents ask us questions or need more information about how we work

Those clearly stated in the EYFS are needed if Cms want to have them in writing which is recommended....however... EYFS is slightly out of date and others may need to be drawn to comply with legislation
Just to clarify...there is a difference between 'policies' and 'procedures' to comply with the EYFS Welfare Requirements.
The CIF does not put emphasis on paperwork anymore but teaching and documentation so Ofsted may ask to see some policies.
