SEND policy Sept 2014

Hi, is it a requirement to have a SEND policy? I currently don't have one and wasnt told I needed one but now there are changes. I havn't read a requirement to have one? Just everyone seems to be getting them? I will download the current SEND document and save to computer. I start childminding Sept 2014

If you cover it in an Equality or Inclusion policy then you are fine. Some LAs asking for a new SEND local offer from all settings saying how you support And identify SEND, you can ask your LA.
