    Default DBS checks

    Morning all,

Do assistants needs new DBS checks or can previous ones now be transferred over.? I'm sure I got paperwork through saying that they can but haven't heard anyone of doing it yet.?

I am registering a new assistant and she has a in date DBS check. She works at the school. Not sure if I can use that rather than paying out for another one

    Thanks

You have to send an EY2 form and Ofsted decide if they want a new DBS check... they do tend to

You have to have a DBS done via Capita the company the Government make Ofsted use. The Inspector I spoke to last week about it said it was out of Ofsted control now and a 100% money making exercise by the Goverment! If you have a family member who is CRB checked less than 3 years ago and you want to make them your assistant you have to have a DBS check done now for which you have to pay £52. It is all a big con.
