    Default Help with paperwork

    Hi,
I'm new to the forum and was just wondering if I have all the relevant paperwork needed or if I am missing anything? I currently have the following:

    Contracts
    Child record form
    Fire evacuation procedures
    Policies
    Learning journeys
    Summative assessment/next steps
    Daily diary
    Risk assessments
    Accident/incident/permission forms
    Visitor log

Would appreciate any advice x x

Oh yes woops, I have got a register thankyou for replying :-). Is that all of the paperwork I need then? I'm also a bit confused with learning journeys (writing obs) as I have been told to write 1 or 2 detailed obs per week by co-ordinator but someone I know recently had an Ofsted inspection and mrs O said obs should only be 1 sentence so bit confused! Emergency contact details to take out and about with you
Compliments/Complaints book (I have a mini notebook attached to my notice board with a pen) just in case!

There is no right or wrong way to do your observations, assessments and individual planning - you have to find a way that works for you!

I do 4 or 5 short obs for my part time children a month - then a longer one focussing on one area of learning.

The 2 threads pinned to the top of here will give you some more ideas

I also keep a little card in my purse with the children's contacts on. It's good on an emergency add it says I'm a childminder (on case I'm unconscious) and also if my battery dies on my phone I can still get to my numbers. X

Thankyou! That really helps :-) . Also Should I be doing a weekly play plan for each child or can I just do the Summative assessment (each term) and then next steps with what I intend to do to support them for the next term? X x
