Hi , just Started minding this week x2 , 7 year olds , I don't have early years age children starting until June , do I need to have my ICO data controller subscription in place now for these older children ? Or am I ok to wait until June when I start observations & learning journey etc ? ( where by I will be taking pictures of learning etc? ) thanks for any advice on what u have done ?

Yes, it's any kind of personal information stored digitally or paper documentation held within a "relevant filing system" for business purposes. So that could be the mum's number stored on your 'phone, or the child's address written in your diary or child record form.

Age of the child makes no difference. Businesses have to register with ICO whether they are serving babies, children or adults.
