    Default Allegation of abuse policy

    Hi

    I had a meeting with by CDW and she was going through my safeguarding policy

    She said that for the allegation of abuse, we need to write if Ofsted Enforcement team show up all the children will have to be set home before they can investigate has anybody else put this in there policy and if so how have you worded it.

    Never heard of that... I have not got it in a policy. If it ever happened (and it is so very rare of course) then I would treat it like an 'emergency' and follow my procedure for that (contact parents/emergency contact numbers etc)

    I've not come across that either. I wonder if it's advice from your local safeguarding board - or maybe your DO has picked it up from an inspection report she has read??

    It's certainly not mentioned in the Cheshire East model safeguarding procedures which we have to adopt here.

    I'd follow my emergency procedures too - maybe put a line in there.

    I only completed pre reg in nov and mrs o didnt mention that?
