    Question Safeguarding policy! Help!

    Hello,
I am currently updating (should have done it a while ago i know!) my policies before I get my first Ofsted rating!!!!!

I have readched section 3.13 under safeguarding - suitable people. The statement says: "Providers must also meet their responsibilities under the safeguarding vulnerable groups act 2006." What shall I write in my policy because I dont actually understand what it means!!

Any light on this matter will be amazing!

    Thanks
    Zoe

Does that not mean if you employ someone classed as vunerable?

The Act was set up in the aftermath of the Soham murders (Huntly the little girls) and relates to the ways people are barred from working with children.

It is linked to CRB checks - now known as the Disclosure and Barring Service - DBS (Dec 2012).

If you are writing it down just say that you are aware of your responsibilities under the Act and everyone over 16 in the living or working in your house has a CRB check (now known as a DBS check).
