    Default Trackers and observations

    Hi Guys

i'm confussed . . . i'm doing my observations with photos and filling out my forms under the correct heading and page

number etc but when it comes to highlighting the tracker pages i'm duplicating what i've written in the observation ??

Whats the point of the tracker ??

It shows at a glance that the child is progressing

I intend to complete a 6 monthly tracker at the same time as I write short 6 monthly assessments of the child's learning.

The tracker will record the child's age and stage of learning to show, as Balette so rightly says, progression.

Hi Sarah can I just ask do you do a tracker (the one that you have put in free downloads) and highlight the development matters ages and stages also? Are they not just the same thing? Confused.

I wrote the one in free downloads for a forum member who asked me to set it out in that way for her.

Mine is slightly different because it makes sense to me - that's the most important thing- whatever you use must make sense to you.

A friend sent me her tracker to look at the other day and i found it really complicated - but for her it's obvious what goes where

Try a few different layouts and find something that is easy for you - as long as it shows the child is making progress it will be fine
