Accident forms on the scrounge
I normally use M&M forms and photo copy them but I cannot find my original and seem to have run out Thinking of making my own anyway as M&M still have body map on. Hoping someone has one that they would like to share please

Emma, your form would be ideal for keeping in your bag, then tranfrerring to the NCMA copy when you get home.
thanks for sharing

What is wrong with the body map? NCMA have them on and I had heard some people said we can't use them but that is not so. I was on my child Protection Course on Monday pm and asked about it and they were bemused and said of course we can use them.

I agree with Ricky - nothing has been said in Cheshire about not using a body map. I use one and it wasn't questioned at my inspection.

I do know my left from right,
BUT I do get confused when doing accident reports , for example is the bruise on the leftside as I am looking at the child, or on the childs right cheek. The body maps help solve my studipness, and its clearer where the injury is.

Here in Staffordshire we have been told not to use body maps just to but left or right because of recent confusion over a minder putting mark on left then marking it on the right on body map this conflicting information caused a case to be thrown put of court and someone basically getting away with abusing a child. I have been told that NCMA will no longer be putting body maps on their paperwork how true this is I do not know. But I have to go with my latest safe guarding training which was only in May this yr. I have just devised my own sheet and suppose as long as you are recording the information accuratly it doesn,t matter what form you use
