Default Webinar training and new EYFS requirements

Hi all have done level 1a and 1b safeguarding via webinar offered by staffordshire council got my certificates went on new EYFS course last week was told had to do safeguarding training every 3 yrs which I know fine....However I was then told that webinar training was not good enough for safeguarding and that it needed to be face to face training to meet the statutory requirements I was not happy has anyone else been told this I questioned what's the point of offering it as a training option if it is not enough to which they had no answer very annoyed not sure if a call to Ofsted to question them will give me the answer

I'd be interested to know the answer to this one.

If it does need to be face to face training I'd struggle as there is no training in this area.

Same here I have emailed the lady that provided the webinar training and asked for an answer.

I did that training as well, but I used it as a renewal really, it was a good course but not really as thorough as doing a face to face on, but then it was only 1.5hrs each part and the face to face one I did last year was 2.5hrs each.
I haven't been told by anyone yet that it is not a recognised course so will wait to see what you are told.
I think the webinar courses are great, we can't all get out and about to do our courses, and the good ones always seem to be in the day time, and best of all the courses were free.

Yes it was Bev,I have done lots of courses through her company, webinars and face to face, I also did my level 3 playworker course through them. Did the course at home but had a tutor come out to see me, brilliant.

I could understand that it may not be enough to do a webinar first time but I think it is fine as a 3 yr refresher! I don't really see what the difference is really the slide would be the same as when you do face to face and you can participate the same in fact if you do not actively participate you do not get your certificate

    Default Update

I have received a email from the trainer she is on annual leave but still responded she wanted names of the people who gave me that information and she is on the case webinar is valid training . It looks like I may have dropped a few people in it
    well its not my fault
