Hi
Can anyone tell me whether the policies I have written need to be signed, dated and review dated? All I have on them at the moment is my name and registration number (personal choice btw).
Thanks

OVER TIME THERE HAS BEEN MIXED KNOWLEDGE ABOUT THIS, BUT I ASKED OFSTED NEARLY THREE YEARS AGO AND THEY SAID YES SO THAT IS WHAT I DO.
IF IN DOUBT DO IT YOU WONT BE MARKED DOWN FOR THAT, BUT YOU COULD BE IF YOU DON'T.
I always put writing date, signature and review date on all mine - saves anyone saying I've done something wrong or missed something off
Thanks guys, will amend mine just to be safe then!
I have my name and the date. I sign them and there is a review date.
That reminds me!
I'm doing my local authority's course at the moment and they say we HAVE to sign and date all policy's.
I don't sign mine but I do put on the date I wrote it and also when I update.
Miffy xx
Keep smiling!
sign and date each one with a review date..
Dust its Fairy Dust
I have a standard box that I put on all policies and procedures which includes a name, signature and date for me and then the same for the parent and then a review date. I just think, it takes 2 minutes to do and then you have evidence that your parents are happy with your working practice.
I'm sorry I don't know how to start a new thread??
My question is does anyone have a policy on receiving texts or calls?
I have had parents text and call anytime from 4am ( presumably when they finish their shift) with the latest being 11pm. While I am on holiday and weekends. I have elderly parents so have to keep the phone on at all times ( if the parents don't get a reply from my mobile they ring my house phone) I can't afford to have 2 phones on the go but does anyone have a policy or any suggestions please?
