Does anyone know of a good insurance company that will insure child minders plus will give you accidental damage.
I`m currently insured, but do not have A.D, i have found one broker that does it but its over £400 a year.

I have mine with direct line
"Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you'll land among the stars."
I can't get accidental damage without my premium going through the roof with my normal broker.
I intend to try Morton Michel next year when it's due
That is who I was going to suggest also

I am with Zurich.
I have accidental damage and that i am a childminder on policy etc so if something happens and it was a minded child not mine im still covered,
they are quite reasonable, in fact when i changed from ordinary cover to being a childminder it only went up about £2 a month. (sorry not rich enough to pay for whole yr lol)

Iam also with Zurich I was with them before I started childminding and when I started it made no difference to my payments and I could keep my accidental damage
so far for me, the cheapest by a long way have been more than.
I have full accidental damage on buildings and contents, can mind 6 children at any time excluding my own.
freezer food, possessions out of the home and legal cover comes out at
£334.73 for the year if we pay in one go.
mm so far have not been able to beat and I am waiting for layton to get back to me
still ouch!
boo
just renewed with MM they quated me £157 but i said i could get it cheaper and they fropped it to £127 so me happy
That's useful to know - I currently have my home insurance with the bank that I have been employed with but as I'm about to hand my notice in I don't have to be loyal to them any longer! I have already checked and they wouldn't increase my premium but I wouldn't have accidental damage whilst childminding.
Out of curiosity can you be a NCMA member but still get your home insurance with morton michel or do you have to have everything with them?
