Default Help! Urgent! PACEY/NCMA Numeracy/Literacy Assessment

Does anybody have a link so I can access the e-platform for the PACEY literacy & numeracy assessment tests? PLEASE!!

I've been trying to get onto their Level 3 Diploma course since the beginning of February - after I was contacted with the news that they have secured some bursaries from my local council.

Since then it has been a comedy of errors ...

    1. Their online form has tick boxes which don't work online. I had to print it off, tick it, scan it back onto my computer and email it to them.

    2. After hearing nothing for a few weeks, I emailed them TWICE to ask if they had received it.

    3. I received two replies saying that yes, they had.

    4. I then receive an email to say they had made a mistake and no, they hadn't received it.

    5. I email it again - and spoke to them on the phone. They still hadn't received it. It turns out that their server doesn't accept incoming documents as big as their own application form.

    6. I run around town (with mindees of course) and find a fax machine. It costs me £9 to fax the application form to them. They confirm receipt and say they will get back to me in a few days.

    7. After hearing nothing for another week, I email VERY concerned. To secure a bursary I need to complete numeracy and literacy assessments and attend a webinar BEFORE the end of March.

    8. After nearly another week, I get a phone call. Did I not receive details on the assessements & webinar ... errrr no!

    9. They immediately (today) send me the information I need. The email states that the webinar is tomorrow evening and I have to complete the assessments before I attend it or I won't get the bursary.
The log-in details for the assessements are at the end of the email .......

    NO THEY ARE NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    And breathe!!

I haven't got any hair left to go grey! LOL

I'm seriously concerned to be honest. The bursary is fantastic and is the only reason I can afford to do the Diploma ... however, do I really trust these people to offer adequate training and support? I think I will be on here a lot whilst doing it!

IF I get to do it!!

I got in there in the end after a stressed phone call to Pacey. I then had to try and complete the assessments with a one year old on my lap! I got my application in just in time and will hopefully be starting the Diploma next month. I would like to say that I've got a nice long weekend to de-stress ... but I'm working tomorrow!

Well done for persevering! I think I would have given up but it's going to be well worth it for you to get the bursary. Good luck hope it all goes well.
