Default Eeek! tomorrow is D day... Or should that be I day

So my inspection is tomorrow and what happens this week? My safety gate on the living room door literally falls off in my hand... Oh ******... Not to worry I will use the gate on the stairs, complete an RA and make sure there is no access to my stairs whatsoever...BINGO!... Oh CRAP! while fixing the other gate to the living room door that decides to brake... Wonderful.

I buy a new pressure gate for living room and a screw in gate for stairs... Living room done sorted, although the gap to walk through is soooo narrow, hope Mrs O is lean lol... The gate for the stairs is a 'mare to put up and takes father in law about 2 hours, one saw, and a million curse words to put up. We did it... Finally!

Now to check through paperwork, re-read my fire safety guide, re-read safer food guide, check RAs and pray that Mrs O is a happy bunny tomorrow!

Good luck, I'm sure you will be fine. At least the gates broke before you had your inspection rather than during it!! See every cloud has a silver lining1

Ok well Mrs O has been and I must say she was lovely. My son kept calling her auntie lol. I only got a satisfactory, which I am totally gutted about in a way, but pleased at in another way... If that makes sense lol.

I have only been minding for 18 weeks so she said that in her report rather than say things like "not met" does not do" will be using words like "with a view to" "developing" and "plan to" she said she will also stress that I am putting things in place to improve... Cant wait to see it but now I am looking forward to a chinses takeaway tonight and cracking open the bottle of champaigne my husbands boss bought us lol

Well done Don't be too disappointed, satisfactory means you are meeting all the standards Ofsted expect - wait until you see your report, I bet it will read very well.

Hope you enjoyed your well earned chinese and champers.
