Hi I'm due my inspection soon and making some changes to my settings.in my downstairs toilet the children all have their own towel. They are currently folded over the radiator any other suggestions? Hand rail or suction hangers? xx

The way they get thrown on top of each other it looks messy wanted something more tidy and organised. Think I might get tea towel holder (suckers) x

There was along thread on here, approximately 1/2 months ago, on what each cm used for drying the mindess hands. Try to search for it. I would attach it but I don't know how. Sorry!

Depends how many mindees/towels you have at one time. I didn't want to buy anything special and so I got around it by hanging one towel on the door knob (a baby towel with a hood) and one on a key in the lock (lock/key didn't work, decoration only) and a general one on the towel rail. x

Morning all! I have a piece of decorative rope cord tied to the original small towel ring. The children all have different coloured small hand towels pegged to this with clothes pegs. They all like the idea of their own towel so don't use the others, very occasionally unpeg the lot but I just ask them to peg them back on- all good for fine motor skills!!

The only problem with that is that some very fussy inspectors will pick you up on having towels touching and the possibility of germs being passed from one to another

I can separate them when ofsted come. But it's better than them being right on top of each other x better than sharing surely? X

As paper towels are recommended on HPA guidelines now, you must be able to talk through your risk assessment of how you have it, and possibly why you have chosen what you have rather than paper towels....

Could we have paper towels for mindees but still have a hand towel hanging up dyou think for when mindees go home and regular family life.

I just have 1 towel in the toilet...the inspector didn't ask me about how often its changed. She just popped her head in the door and had a quick look.


I change it half way through the day as I used to have a paper towel dispenser but it didn't work for me and I cant have 9 separate towels as no room.
