    Default inspections

I just wondered how things would work out if I was on maternity leave when due an inspection! Would I need to contact ofsted so they can inspect me earlier as they would have nothing to inspect me on? Has anyone been in this situation and what did you do? All advice welcome :-)

It was near my due inspection when was going on maternity. I rang them to inform them when was planning to go on maternity. They rang me back saying they will try and inspect me before hand. Which they did. looking back it was very stressful at the time being 8mths gone but I was glad they did come before and not afterwards. (This was 5 yrs ago) You will need to inform them when you going on maternity and when you are planning to return back to work. They won't visit you while you off on maternity.

There isn't really anything like 'due an inspection' going on at the moment - you get inspected when Ofsted are ready to come.

If you are off on maternity you should already have let them know so they will avoid this time. Hth

Before I went on maternity I've rang Oftead to let them know, they still came while I was on maternity and done an inspection without any children and without any grades, I was not happy as what was the point of that, it went well and lasted about 20mins but I had nothing to show them, but definitely no point! Xx
