So very sorry everyone I posted the wrong link to the new guidance for inspection reports
here is the link
https://www.gov.uk/government/public...idance#history

Thanks. Very useful. I've printed it and will keep it for reference.

Do we know what the update is from the previous doc?
-
Thanks, Simona.
Really useful.
I got to the end of only the first page, and chuckled at the missing punctuation mark (second set of bullet points; fourth bullet). Wonder if they've spotted it yet?
Having a look through the rest for any others.
Yep - found another error on page 3 - a spelling mistake: third bullet towards bottom of the page should read "contradicts". So much for 'accuracy'.

Amazing the number of times the word 'and' is preceded by a comma...that is grammatically incorrect surely?...or so I was taught by my English teacher

I'm sorely tempted to email them and tell them about the other two errors, though, as surely these make the whole document 'not fit for publication'.
What do you think?
LK
Judging by the bullet point on page 3...below the one you mention as having an 's' missing from contradicts...then yes!
'proof reading' before publications should be recommended!!

Finally, if it has just been updated, then why is the date still reading "January 2015"? Surely it should be dated "November 2015" or at least have a mention of "Updated November 2015".
LK
I have just tweeted to Ofsted why the date on the doc says Jan 2015 when it has been updated November?
If I get a reply I will share...if I disappear I will be in the dungeons!
By the way on the website page it actually says 2014...the mind boggles!

I'll see you in the dungeons, then, as I've just emailed them the corrections.

Wow! Will have plenty of time to dissect their publications then!
On another matter I was involved in a discussion about funding and tweeted to the DfE that LAs pay us months in arrears...or even a term in arrears...that may result in solitary confinement!
