    Default extra 1st aid people

my Dh and sister (who lives with us while at uni) hae both completed their peadiartic first aid.

i aksed them to do this for when the waether is really bad at school time ( shoudle ither of them be home) theni could leave the children with them while i collect the school ones. plus our days out in school hols my dh or sis come along too if they can, so added safety adn al that.

anyway, do i need this changing on my certificate?
i dont want my numbers increased but i ahve a feeling they need to include this on my cert.

i ahve all pareents permissions already for this, as they knew they were completing the course .

do ofsted need to some back out ?

    Hi hun

My husband did this and we needed to notify ofsted and fill in a form for him to become my assistant. He doesn't work as my assistant, but does do the school run with the older ones if the weather is bad etc. I have it on my certificate that he can be left alone with the children for short periods of time. Ofsted didn't want to come out, I scanned and emailed his first aid certificate and sent the completed form and they sent me a new registration certificate - it didn't take too long either.

    Hope that helps

You cannot leave anyone with children without written permission from Ofsted and teh children's parents.

You don't need to ask for extra children just say you want to add an assistant to your registration.

Give them a ring tomorrow and get it started! You might need to inform your insurance as well

Is it just filling in a form or do they need to interview him? I have never thought of registering my husband as my assistant but he has his first aid cert anyway so if its very easy it might be worth doing

No you just fill in the form and send it back they don't interview. It should be fairly straight forward.
