    Unhappy Forums and ofsted

I was at a childminding meeting last night ( did you miss me?), and i told a fellow minder about this forum. Anyway, she said she would never trust forums as Ofsted regularly check childminding forums to see what people are saying and doing and to look out for ways to catch minders when they inspect them

I really dont know if this is true but think it might be wise to be cautious. Maybe Pauline can shed more light on it?

Sorry, I dont mean to panic people just thought it was worth a mention

But we all use user names - how would Ofsted know it was us???

Ofsted would do well to read some of the posts on here anyway! LOL!!

Well I do not mind if it is true

    We are doing nothing wrong

We offer good advice, company and friendship

Where in their rule book does it say we can not do that ?

What we do with our free time is no concern to anyone else

How suspicious of your friend. Perhaps Offy and the like do trawl the forums but we are doing nothing wrong apart from helping each other and like Angel Iglasis says offer friendship

How sad that your colleague thinks like that and she is missing out on TONS

My thoughts on this are exactly the same as Angel's.

We're doing nothing wrong. In fact most of us are here to find out the RIGHT way of doing things related to our jobs. I'm sure many of us are BETTER minders due to this excellent forum.

And we all know that Offy need to go through switchboard, a supervisor, manager, back to switchboard and a couple of emails even before thinking they might need a policy to cover themselves...... Clever???? Hmmmm lol

If an Ofsted inspector wants to catch you out they will do that perfectly well without the help of this forum. Anyhow they haven't got time to do all their inspections, even though they only inspect us every 3 years or 4-5 years as it is becoming. So how would they find the time to analalize all our barmy posts!!!!

But a lot of us post our websites.

In all seriousness, there probably is the odd inspector who joins for a quick nosy now and again, but I doubt they come on very often, especially when they realise that we have no plans to blow up the offices, or kidnap their inspectors.

I haven't a problem with them being her, as we have nothing to hide.

I think its a good thing for Ofsted to read what is being said in here, childminders supporting eachother building a strong community and assisting eachother in order to provide an outstanding service.

Unless they become members they cant access member information so emails are safe if some use their works email and as already been said many of us use different names in here .. Ofsted could probably pick me out as being the pest lmao

That made me laugh so much it brough a tear to my eye, I had images of you tying an inspector to a chair until she agreed to your demands.
