Ofsted big conversation - next NW meeting

I have a meeting with Ofsted as part of the Ofsted Big Conversation north west steering group next week.

The Ofsted Big Conversation is a very good way of taking your problems directly to the top of Ofsted.

sarah , my issue may not apply to that many cms - however...
I would like to expand / offer more places ...surely a good thing in light of the extra demand needed for 30hrs etc.
The reason I dont is that should I take on an assistant , if they cant come into work for any reason ( illness , childs illness , holiday ) then I need to turn away one or more of my families...dreadful for my families , my reputation yet largely unavoidable.
Why is it that nurseries / playgroups / schools offering eyfs can use bank staff for cover yet childminders cant? I find this incredibly frustrating.
