Ofsted and Tax??
First question..i'm a couple of months behind with tax paperwork..i understand this has nothing to do with Ofsted!! am i right. If so i can leave that till later

Just remember it has to be filed to taxman by 31 January otherwise you'll get £100 fine

Just to clarify that Ofsted have no remit in anything that involves finances between CMs and parents...not just tax matters.

They have no right in England to look at your contracts either but I believe in Wales they do

Yes in Wales they can request to see all paperwork including contracts and accounts. They have never asked to seen anyone that I know's accounts although they have been known to ask if we are doing them and keeping up to date. They have had a quick look at contracts as it is a legal requirement to have one even for a couple of hours on a one off.

Ofsted do have a right to see evidence that you are registered with HMRC but not any detail of money etc.
