Building work and ofsted
Hi I'm due to have some work done to the outside of property which will invoke scaffolding being erected have done a risk assessment which includes no access to gardens except for entering and leaving the property.
A. Do I need to inform ofsted?
B. is it possible they could make me stop working whilst its being done, work will take about four weeks?
Thanks in advance

You need to tell Ofsted if it will affect your ability to work safely ... otherwise you need a robust risk assessment and evidence of how you are keeping children safe.
When I had my conservatory built I told them it was happening and they asked for a RA when it was finished which I sent as requested.

Loft conversion

Hi, do you know if childminders can work while having a loft conversion at premises? I would like to have it done this year and I was thinking of closing for few weeks. I read somewhere that if you have a risk assessment in place, you can still work as long as the children are kept safe. Is this correct? Will ofsted be ok with it? Do you know where I can get info as I have been looking everywhere on line and in the EYFS but I can't find anything related to it.
Thank you
