Default 2 full inspections in the space of 3 weeks!!! :(

In the last 3 weeks I have undergone 2 full inspections, based on complaints!! This is apparently the new rule. I am so mad as I know it is a childminder that lives in my next street who is keep doing this and there is nothing I can do about it! The lady from Prospects also could tell it was all lies, but as the list is so long!! they have to do full inspection!. I am getting so fed up with people that cannot stand to see others doing well! sometimes it makes me wonder why I bother! On both occasions the inspector was here for 4 hours! Everything was fine and I kept my good grade with no actions, but it is just so stressful!
I only had my inspection last december too. I feel like they are never away from my home! and what so anoying is they wont tell you who it is! or what its about till they get in your home! Te first complaint came the day after the new regs came in and my work was expected to be up to new EYFS standards, just as well id started doing it!
I was lucky on both occasions I had two lovely inspectors, and my parting words were "Ill see you next week then!"
I just wish we had some ground to stand on here, as I always feel I have no Options!

Didn't want to read and run,

Be proud with yourself that you are doing the right thing...

...and see it this way : it gives you an insentive to keep up to date with paper work

The wheel turn, what goes around, comes around the jealouse will get their comeuppance!

Well, you are the one in the know for info on the new inspections then, a specialist I'd say

Seriously how ridiculous and how petty fom the person complaining. I know ofsted said they will inspect if complaints are made but two in three weeks, how much is this costing the tax payers and is it really fair to put you and the children through such regular inspections.
I take it none of the complaints have been upheld then?

Do you talk to this other childminder, could you somehow mention it to her and gage her reaction, not that it makes any difference if you know who is doing it, if she wants she can just carry on whenever she likes with no come back on her. Ofsted should be able to reprt her to the police for harassment and wasting their time and money.

Hi you can contact Ofsted and ask “under the freedom of information act I want a copy of my complaint” Ofsted will contact the person who made the complaint asking if they can disclose their name if they don’t agree you still get the complaint with name blacked out but there is also a chance that the complaint was malicious and it was made under someone else’s name so when they make contact this person will have no idea what they are talking about so the complaint cannot be upheld and is dropped. Hope that makes sense, we were told this by our CDW the other week

Well done on keeping your grade!

I dont talk to her anymore, havnt in a while, not since I trusted her with a mindee whilst on holiday and I came back to information from her Mother of what had been said about me! The mum had no reason to lie to me, but one of her comments involved my 4 year old son, who has dyspraxia and cannot talk. She had said his speech would affect other chilrens dvelopment in my care .. this made me so Angry!! I just stopped talking to her - eventually (the day of the first complaint) she asked me why i wasnt talking to her and I told her! She didnt say she hadnt said it, just that she was going to call the mum that said it (this she hasnt done)
I have had no actions against me from any of the inspections and kept my grade, its just a waiste of a day and so anoying!!
I cannot understand why another childminder would want to do this, esp when they know what we all have to do on a daily basis, let alone where they find the time!!!

I had a similiar problem when I first started with husbands ex wife and malicious claims. After the 3rd visit they did say that they were aware of this person making the complaints and had my side of our relationship and that they knew claims were malicious and this would all be noted for any further contact from this person. I do now ring ofsted to advise them if the said person is being awkward or threatening to complain so they have a heads up. Touch wood not had another visit since from her complaining.
Chin up like people have said you are now an expert in inspections and I know I need one of those with my inspection due around March.
"nothing can get in my way" that's my new motto

At least there is no black mark against you as there should not be in the first place. I would be so tempted to send them round to her but of course we are both stronger and more decent than she is. Forget about it and just hope that Karma gets her and she gets a complaint from somewhere else and is up the creek without a paddle and falling off a very high waterfall.
Keep that image in your mind, it will help a lot

Ive had the same sort of thing where someone really had it in for me. I briefed Ofsted on this person and every time this person gives me grief and also threatens me, I advise Ofsted. I went so far as getting a solicitor to write to them about slander (all emails, texts and witness statements went to solicitor) advising if they continued on this personal vendetta, I could and would take them to court. Touch wood, nothing futher has been heard from the person. x
