attendance register
emergency contact numbers
reviewed policys
made a welcome board with ofsted poster etc on plus news section
up to date fridge and freezer temp logs
portfolio up to date, with mot inside etc
childrens records in own files
fire alram tests
smoke alarm tests

I am in the process of re doin my towels for new children, also the two older children dont use towels they use paper towels is that ok

I know my cleaning records need to be up to date, I need to finish labelling my toys. My accounts are at the accountants for my tax return.

I am deep cleaning the house tonight

Menus / recipes displayed for parents

Be word perfect on what you would do if an allegation was made against you or a member of your family...

Photos in an album or child's folder showing what you get up to

Hi

I dont have any pictures of the children as I do not own a camera will that be ok, well I guess theres nothing I can do about it now

the medical forms are up to date, apart from two children not being registered at doctors but I cant change that

I am stuck on planning what would they like to see

Have a nosey at the 'National childminding week' stuff I posted the other day, pull out an activity or 2 for each day and write it in a simple day by day format that you can show the inspector.

Leave a gap for reflection, so you can ask children what they enjoyed and didn't enjoy at the end of the activity when you are clearing away and make notes for next time.

Pin the activity list up on your noticeboard for parents to see and ask them for something to donate for maybe the Thursday or Friday activities - keep it simple of they won't bother - maybe a box or pot for junk modelling etc.

You can't worry about the photos if you don't have any - you could show it as something on your wish list to buy for the future and for now how your obs are written and shared with parents.

I've got a collage of faces on my door which I made with the children - lots of faces, including multicultural and disabled. Maybe you could ask parents to donate one photo of their child to put in the collage and show this in your planning for the future...

I was asked about child protection on my inspection last week, she wasnt just happy with having the leaflet, she wanted to know the different types of abuse and te signs to look for.

I got pulled up on not having a emergency treatment form when not able to contact parents.

Make sure your medication books is all filled in correctly, she went over this with a fine tooth comb.

I am in the middle of my policy review and my eyes hurt lol.

I have just re done my child protection so its up to scratch. and also added a new one about my procedures for allegations made against a child minder

just hoping my ink doesnt run out!!
