    Default struggling with this obs, and next steps

    baby 10 month, crawled through the tunnel i have, could this be an obs and next steps i haven't a clue, (, please anyone help

    can anyone help me please, I have a inspectoin in two wks time just trying to have more obs and next steps to show, only have this baby one day aweek, and he's only been comming for about 10 wks so dont have much to show, so please can you give me some idea,

    using 8-20 month sheets


    psed - dispositions and attitudes- strong exploratory impulse, Explore the environment with interest


    pd- movement and space-use their increasing mobility to connect with toys and objects



    there might be more but thats what i can get off the top of my head

    I would say yes, it can be an observation. Next steps could possibly be to gain competence in crawling, for example you could encourage baby to crawl rather than carry him, allow sufficient space for crawling, give praise and encouragement, toys such as balls to crawl after. I'm no expert but I hope that helps.

    Ok you have observed lo crawl through the tunnel so we can link this to Physical Development - Movement and space - 8 - 20 months 'use their increasing mobility to connect with people object and toys' then you have to think of something for next steps - if lo is crawling confidently and it sounds like he/she is then perhaps next steps could be encouraging him to standing position by providing opportunities to pull up to standing by placing a toy up and out of reach on a stable item such as sofa

    If he likes tunnels and cosy places you could get out a tent or den for him next!
