What has the Speech Therapist said? They will guide you on what to do and maybe next time you see her you can ask her about an IEP, or get hold of your DW and ask her as the body she works for will have a SECNO worker who will visit and help you.

try and keep your IEP to about 3 targets. These should be specific-eg Jonny will give me a symbol/picture when he wants to play with a certain toy-make sure the target is achievable and realistic and has a time limit when it will be reviewed, for example a half term. An IEP MUST be shared with Parents and their signature obtained to show their consent and understanding. Keep the language plain and simple and understandable to all. Its much easier if you can do it in conjuction with a Speech and Language therapist or Senco but in your situation the Parents should be a big help as they will know their child the best-good luck
