    Default Planning

    Hi All

I know this has been mentioned in previous posts, I look after just one child who has just turned one, is it possible to planning for them as there interests and needs change daily. I haven't got a problem with the observations and next steps its just planning.

    Thanks
    Naomi

For a child of 12 months I would just use routine as planning -

Do a simple plan of what you are doing in the week -

    Monday -
    8.00 - 9.00 - school run
    9.00 - 10.00 - storytime and tv
    10.00 - 11.00 - snack and quiet time

    etc, etc,

It shows you are using a routine with the child.

Maybe do a bit of individual planning for the child each month, by looking through the EYFS standards folder (white folder) to find out what developmental stage the child is at the moment - you can then do a quick monthly plan for the child based on what stages they are and what kind of things could help them to learn, i.e - looking at books, starting to sound words.

    All Mollymop says...

Plus their interests change every day so have a fun day and write down what they have done later!

Many Thanks for the replies, it puts my mind at rest I have my first inspection sometime this week, and was concerned they might ask about planning, but i feel more at ease that his planning is his routine at the moment.

    Thanks
    Naomi
