Pointing finger - wow moment

Had t a baby for the first time today , she is my friends baby so have seen her lots. Today i noticed he pointed her finger but not really at anything .. I wrote this as a wow moment seeing as though id never seen her do it. If she does new things at home and parent tells us but then she does it with me and it my first time seeing the action can i still write this down as a wow moment?
