    Thank you Sarah - although I still don't really understand the difference between "having their own ideas" and "choosing way to do things" So sometimes on my observations I highlight one and sometimes I highlight the other!

    'Having their own ideas' is Active learning?..... while 'Choosing ways to do things' is how they reason and involves their learning style? the latter is important in all aspects of learning?
