Schemas - repeated patterns of play - again, again, again
A number of childminders have asked me to share information about schemas with them.
A schema is when a child does something again and again and again - often without realising why - sometimes seeming compelled to repeat their actions.
Sometimes schemas are dangerous and we need to help the child to learn in a more appropriate way - usually they are fun and we can provide resources to support their learning.
