Japanese Girls Day Festival

Hi,
Thought I'd add this as it's not a festival many people have heard of but it's very sweet! I put together this info sheet for the parents. We will gather up all our favourite dolls on the day (3rd March) and make little cakes and dry some petals to scatter about as decorations. I have also found some little stickers in accessoize that are little japanese dolls faces, we might make cards. We made tempura vegetables (stood very far back from hot fat!) too and ate them with chopsticks! My little girl loved this last year.
(I'm not sure if this would be seen by some to exclude boys - I plan to get my male mindee to celebrate his sister!)
