We have a Teddy Bear with a hearing aid, I made it for my son when was little and got his first hearing aid. I'll find it and post some pictures.

I really am so dim sometimes. I'm doing my homework and have to fill in a sheet with what resources I have and what gaps I need to fill. I've already raided my website stock for the Child's Play books but totally forgot about the Something Special DVDs!

Sound bingo could be good for encouraging children to think about sounds, you could even collect your own sounds using a dictaphone or tape recorder.

The Book People have some Read At Home Phonics books, I notice one of them has a person in a wheelchair on the front cover:

Thanks for these ideas. I was then going to ask what types of things I can have. At the mo I only have happy street/little people from elc showing showing glasses and little boy in a wheel chair. I do have a teddy who has a broken leg and is on crutches. I just needed a few ideas so these are great..... thank you. x

I made it with the children!

Lots of multicultural and disability faces from magazines... then all the children's faces so they can spot themselves

This thread gave me some great ideas and made me think about what I had and ideas of things I can buy. So..... yesterday I bought 5 Balamory books from ebay, Balamory dvd, 'Don't call me special ' book and the Topsy and Tim have a new friend book. I only spent about £12 but will have a nice collection of a few things. Last week I also got the Happy Land people with a little person in a wheelchair. I have plans for a poster too.
    Thank you x

    I have an online code for WHSmiths - It's £5 off a £15 spend

    The code is: 9NJVX39H

Whoever uses it would you tell us on here please because it can only be used once by 1 person (I won't be using it)
