Back to school tomorrow but today is DDs 10th birthday (when did my baby get so big?!) and we're taking her and some friends out for lunch!
Beautiful blue sky but not quite as warm as it has been.

I'm still on holiday this week, as is DD. We're having a slow morning so far. Later we have to pack because we're going up to Manchester tomorrow to stay with my family. I'm taking some of DD's old clothes up for my niece so have to sort those out. Will have to shop for snacks at some point today.

Sorted out our shed yesterday - way overdue. Hubby was really pleased to see that I had emptied one huge box full of my old teaching stuff - until he saw that I was actually bringing lots of it into the house. Have to find somewhere to store it today.

Do you have lots of schoolies Fussy or are you term time only? x

We spent an afternoon in the park and it was reasonably quiet because the majority of schools have gone back. DD played in the big sandpit for over an hour and had such a great time. The children who were there were all lovely and they all played together so nicely and constructively. If only all children could be like them. DD doesn't normally join in with 'strangers' and tends to stick by me and so it was really nice for me to watch. I came home on such a high! x

I have 4 big boxes in my shed! Last year I sorted 14 boxes- and made it all into bricks to burn on our fire, which kept us going all winter plus loads left - it took a lot of ripping and soaking though - we spent 4 days doing it! This summer the other 4 will go I hope, my 4 year old LO loves ripping paper so I may offer it as an activity - last year he loved pressing the bricks, but his fingers weren't strong enough to rip.
I have 4 years to declutter before our move/ travel plans start!
Planned for 2 LO's today as one LA is back today and the other that my parents work for is next week. But got a text say ing one was going to the zoo, so a quiet easy day with only one child, lots of one to one which was lovely. Gone by 4.30 - then we have spent the time sorting out new phones. It will probably take until midnight to work out what they can do !
