Toilet Humour (quite literally! )

My DS has just started school. They have taught them a little ditty to help with toileting. It goes:

Go to the toilet, flush the chain,
Wash your hands and go to play.

DS has found this amusing. However he has also been repeating it to my Mum without the "flush the chain" bit.

When she asked him if he was missing a bit he told her he had as it would "make the room stink" and then collapsed in a fit of giggles.

I wish I knew why toilet humour is so hilarious at that age.
