Hi I am minding a 1 year old 1 day a week so 10 hrs ... Do I need to do a learning journey/ portfolio for this few hours ?

yes , absolutely.
10hours isn't really that few , you'll have lots of things happening that you can observe and record..
10 hours is a fairly standard amount of hours for lots of chldminders with a range of part-time children

I have 4 children that are one day a week and I do a learning journey for each....
