Linking the areas of learning

Hi,
When I do reading time/story time at home I know to link it to (L)
I've just found out that at my local library they have story time in a group.
Can I add any other areas of learning to this ?

I wait until I have an obs and then link it to an area- so at a library story time a child might start counting the cushions on the floor- so that would be Maths but you probably wouldn't have set out to cover Maths at the library!

If you are talking about general planning and covering areas, then you could say it is likely that a group story time at the library will cover Literacy (enjoying books), PSED (getting on with others, sitting in a group confidently etc) and CL (listen to the story, understanding of story, talking about the stories), could be UW (getting to know your community, people who help you, the journey there etc).
Other areas may come up unexpectedly.
