    Default What do you use to put your Learning journals together.

    What do you use for your learning journals?

    I use a ring binder and put everything into plastic wallets but ide like to cut down on paper and wallets and maybe try a scrapbook type LJ. Dont know how i will put obs and assessments in though. Any ideas?

    I use a nice looking A4 pad, put a picture of the child and their name on the front. I stick in my observations and assessments (I use Orbit Early Years website to do them) and any other pictures and artwork (well photos of artwork as I send originals home).
    I don't find it too much work doing it this way.

    I used to use scrap books, stuck everything in with pritt stick or double sided tape.
    I now use an assessment folder off eBay, it's a folder with wallets already in so no clips, little ones can handle them and dribble on them without ruining the paper.

    I use a display folder. I get them fro the £1 shop.

    i stick everything into a scrapbook. obs, assessments, artwork, comments from parents or nursery etc

    The cheap evidence books have twenty pages but if you bulk buy off e bay they have forty and end up about £1.20 each.

    I used to use a scrapbook, but changed to a ring binder with pastic wallets as it is easier to add bit in or rewrite something if ou have made a mistake. I was putting together one of my scrap boos and realised I had missed a page in the book, so there were 2 blank pages in the middle of it all. This doesn't happen with a ring binder

    I use a binding machine then you can open them up and shuffle paper work around if you need to.
