    Default BALLOON PLAY

    Hi all,

I look after a 1 year who loves balloons. I had a halium balloon on the celing with a ribbon dangling from it and she liked me to lift her up so that she could pull the ribbon to touch the balloon. What should I link this too do you think and what next steps?

I hope people dont mind me posting questions like this as I should know this myself. Just cant get my head around it sometimes. I'm updating 4 learning journals at the moment so I may have memory block at other times too!

You could extend the play too by blowing up a balloon containing some rice, also blow up one balloon inside another, and have one containing a small amount of water.Great for UW and it is building on the child's existing interest (PSED).
Also, older children love drawing faces on balloons and sticking on cardboard feet, arms, etc...
