Dating obs etc

Hi all
Do you put the specific date in child's learning journal and for all obs? I've got a bit behind with my paperwork and I've got pics everywhere with no date so just wondered if u put exact date or roughly, or just the month?

Is anyone apart from Sarah07 ever up to date with paperwork?

For a learning journey, I would just put the month, for an observation I would try to be as accurate as possible, but really don't lose any sleep over it....who is to know, if the date is wrong by a week or so? Just check the date is one that the lo was actually with you

Iv done that a few times so just put the month on. Gives an idea of when it was. thats what matters

most of my obs are photo obs. i now have the date ON my photos !!! i used to spend ages working out what date i did what ob!

That's a very big assumption!

Although having said that right now I am pretty much up to date but it's unlikely to last for long

I date by month - everything is monthly here as I think that is the best way to show progression.

I print photos with the date on (in case I get behind ) and put them in files under 'week beginning'
