    Default Tracking progess

Just re-thinking my paperwork and looking at maybe changing how I record this.
At the moment I have made a chart with the aspects and dms and against this I log the page no. of the relevant ob, I also have a page set out in the 6 areas
(soon to be 7 I know!) and record obs that don't match with the dms. Not sure
if I should I carry on using this method or not, what are your thoughts and how do you do things?
any help or advise will be greatly welcomed thanks x

I log the date next to relevant DM statements - I find this helps me to show progression of a child's development through the months.

I intend to carry on doing it this way from Sept but I have changed the way I set out DM to follow advice.

I am printing it in 2 sections - 0 - 3 and 2.5 - 5 as that will better reflect the outcomes for the 2 year progress check and make sure I note where a child might be learning above expectations easier.

    Hi
We're on training tonight, but I do know it will mention to use 3 different colours of highlighter a year (one per term) to show progression.
    Don't know if that helps.

Hi like the tracker form in the downloads, but how often do you do them and share with parents? I know to do obs/post its notes etc reg but cant seem to locate anywhere how often we need to share childs progress with parents? in the pre school i was in it was every term, is it the same for childminders?

Jenny - it is as often as suits you and your families - I do mine every three months and I use coloured highlighters to show progression - yellow in July, green in October, Pink in Feb etc etc - I update it with what I have observed then sit down with a parent and add their thoughts and comments to it also.

    Hope that helps, Jen x
