    Default Expenses

    Hello

I am new to childminding and to the whole self-employed/expenses/tax return thing. I have been asking advice on a number of matters, but one thing I am getting conflicting answers on is whether you can use a percentage of your mortgage interest as an expenses. I would be very grateful if anyone could help me out on this one.

    Many thanks

Not as a rule but there are instances when you can claim...an accountant would be best placed to do that for you and advise you.

I claim a percentage of my mortgage interest as I do with all my household expenses but I would only do it with the back up of an accountant
