Does anyone work together with another childminder??

Looking to speak to anyone else who works together with another childminder for some advice regards to pay / income and tax return... oh and also if we have holidays / sickness how to make sure it works out fair pay without one of us working a lot more days all the time but still earning the same....

I work with my partner. We had to register as a partnership with HMRC - they wouldn't let us continue as individuals.

We are both reliant on the business income so we take half of what's left each after the main bills are paid. We are working it out month by month - but if it wasn't my partner I suppose someone unlinked to me would expect the same amount monthly so their bills are covered (or at least a minimum amount)...

Hi, I want to register my partner as an assistant just so he can help out every now and again. Do I have to register him with hmrc?
