Default New pinned threads popping up

Eagle eyed members among you will have noticed I am adding some pinned threads to different sections of the Childminding Chat and EYFS sections of the forum

These have been written to offer help and support to all childminders including those forum members who want to stay independent of agency control in the future.

We have decided to keep them as open threads and we hope that members will add useful comments, links to sources of free information, their own thoughts etc to the threads...

Off topic chat will be deleted and members will be directed elsewhere on the Forum to post their queries - so we can keep these new threads as focussed as possible.

The threads will then be used to link topics in your new Independent Childminders - Supporting each other website back to the forum and Childminding Help and Childminding Forum for help and advice from starting out all the way to EYFS so we are not duplicating everything!

I love it when a plan comes together

We have a new section of the forum - here!

We also have a new website Independent Childminders - Supporting each other.

The forum is committed to supporting all childminders including those of us who want to stay independent in the future when agencies come along.

    I hope that makes sense

Sarah, I cannot thank you enough for all the hard work you're doing to help keep us all informed, both about government plans and childminding in general. I'm pre reg and still rummaging round everywhere trying to learn all I can about childminding. Sharing your knowledge and pointing us in the direction of other sources of info is invaluable.

I, for one, fully intend to stay independent despite being very very early on in my childminding career. The somewhat dubious potential benefits of joining an agency (many of which are negated anyway by the excellent support available on this forum!) are far outweighed by the benefits of remaining my own boss and fully in control of my own business. Back off Truss!
