i got a reply today saying i would be notified of any local meetings for people who were interested in running or setting up an agency!!??? Done deal then, I guess.

They are going to have a shock when us lot turn up at their meetings and give them an earful

I have a very sneaky suspicion these meetings will not be set up by the DfE...I think we have had a hint from one of those feeding back to us?? read it again...that's why I suggested you alert your LA.

If they happen we need to be prepared with our counter arguments!

I too have had an email thanking me for my interest in agencies !

Despite my email saying I was opposed to agencies!


My only concern is that they are going to use our ' interest ' to say that lots of childminders are interested in running agencies. Which we know is not the truth, but the govt etc will not.

Oh yes they will use our 'interest' and manupulate it...in the end what matters is how many cms register with an agency if any?
